Our story

Our story is one of seasons, observation, and respect for bees. Every step comes from daily work in the apiary and the connection to the Avellino territory.

01 — THE BEGINNING

The first hives

The journey begins with the care of the beehives and listening to the rhythms of nature. Early experiences teach that each colony has a unique balance, to be understood and protected day after day.

02 — GROWTH

The strength of the colony

With time, experience, attention, and awareness grow. Observing the honeycomb and the bees' work allows us to accompany the growth of the colonies, respecting their natural rhythms.

It all began in 2006-07 when my sister, passionate about candles, discovered the possibility of making candles with beeswax. She bought a beekeeping book, but it was I who read that book during the winter days, and the more I read it, the more I wanted to work with bees. No sooner said than done, the following spring I bought 5 hives and at the same time began to frequent some local beekeepers, eager to gain more and more beekeeping experience. And the following year, I found myself with a good 25 hives. I joined the Campania Beekeepers Association, with whom I shared and continually expanded my experiences. We reached 2011 when I began to have about 200 hives and decided to register as a professional beekeeper under the name "I Coribanti" (the warrior-priests of the goddess Cybele, a goddess who worshipped the prosperity of nature).

I reached my peak between 2013 and 2022 when I managed between 500 and 600 hives, with productions ranging around 200 quintals of honey. Many experiences, many landscapes crossed, varieties of honey produced, days lived with the bees. Today I have downsized the company a bit, managing 300 hives with the help of my partner. From 2006-07 to today, one thing has remained unchanged. When spring approaches each year, something ignites within me like a switch in a machine. I have to go to the bees to see if everything is okay, what they are doing, who needs help; in short, it starts again, and I don't even notice it.

03 — TODAY

From the land to the honey

Today, I Coribanti continues this journey by following the blooms and working directly among the hives. From here, different honeys are born, distinct in scent and character, destined for families and merchants.
