Honey storage

Honey is a living product. A few simple precautions preserve its aroma, texture and natural characteristics.

Naturally crystallised honey
01

How to store it

Keep honey tightly closed in its original jar, in a cool and dry place. Protect it from direct light, heat sources and temperature changes. Refrigeration is not required.

02

How long it lasts

Check the best-before date printed on the label. When stored correctly, honey keeps its characteristics for a long time.

03

When it crystallises

Crystallisation is natural: timing and texture vary from one honey to another. It is not a defect and does not reduce product quality.

Crystallisation is evidence of authenticity

Authentic honey can become thicker or granular. To make it fluid again, warm the jar gently in a bain-marie below 40 °C and stir slowly.
